Term 3 - Photoshop
Introduction

I had to complete a number of activities (editing photos) in
this term which taught me how to use the program to I guess you could say an
intermediate level.
Software Package
So, as I said, Photoshop is a program which is made for editing photos, though that doesn’t mean you can’t make images or other things in it… Learning to use Photoshop is definitely an awesome skill to have learned, it will always come in handy when needing to obviously edit photos and create sweet looking images. Some of the functions I learnt to use in Photoshop include Image Processing, Using Layers, Selecting, Painting and Drawing, Using Effects and working with certain types of text.

Assessment Tasks
For the major assessment within this topic, we had to make a poster and a flyer on a certain topic, I myself, did mine on “A.I” which stands for Artificial Intelligence. This assignment was an individual assignment which we had 6 weeks to complete; an oral presentation was included in this task. I had difficulty at first choosing a topic because well I’m not very creative and Alex Cudjko stole my idea of the brand Alienware :(. Other than that, I didn’t have many problems other than trying to find the right images I needed.

Review of the Unit
I did already know some basics about Photoshop, but after the topic we did on it in term 3 I can say that I know a lot more. I liked this unit quite a bit and didn’t really have any dislikes other than sometimes it was confusing to find the right tool for a certain image. I got a B+ for my overall grade for this topic which I’m quite happy with. I will definitely use Photoshop in the future and it will stay as my number 1 image editing program.

I enjoyed Photoshop therefore I give it an 8, I think it’s a
good idea to keep it in the curriculum for the following years but maybe change
the actual assignment a little.
